One of the underling themes that I herd at the NECC conference was for the need to make Web based offerings accessible to persons with disabilities. This is also been a hot topic on a number of web designer blogs over the past few weeks. It is not the need for accessible web pages that is causing all the discussion; it is the possibility of government regulations being imposed for accessibility that has web communities talking. For those of you who are interested in these discussions I have compiled the following short reading list.
- Accessibility, Validity, Guidelines and Law
- Accessibility and a society of control
- The role of government in web accessibility
- Accessibility and the Law
- Accessibility Only For Disabilities?
